A well-known manufacturer of interior finishing products used in commercial and domestic applications. With an annual turnover in excess of £75million and a well-established national sales team, the company is well-known and respected with a long-standing and stable customer base. The company has an expansion plan in place with scope for sales operations to increase within the next 4-5 years which will see additional opportunities for career progression into regional sales management and key accounts for those with the drive to build a career with us.
You are a charismatic and experienced territory sales or account manager with direct experience of managing trade-type accounts across a geographic territory. You are structured in your approach and able to demonstrate that you can devise and follow an effective sales plan. In terms of background, you will most recently be in a similar territory management position selling into trade wholesale, distribution or independent retail where buying decisions are made at a local or regional level.
Managing a defined sales territory and a mature customer base comprised of trade wholesalers, retailers and distributors, you’ll maintain relationships and build a rapport with key decision makers and support staff within these organisations. You’ll inherit a customer account portfolio that has been performing well for the last decade and will be tasked to maintain this buy introducing new product ranges, structuring distribution agreements and provide day-to-day support on anything from pricing to product information. No company can rest on its laurels and so a small part of your role will be to identify potential new customers where there’s an opportunity to strike up profitable supplier agreements and bring them into the fold.
